Aman Matharu – Director & Solicitor
Aman is the head of our team and has more than 18 years’ experience in Conveyancing work. Aman has been working at Moseley Chapman & Skemp for 16 years in the Conveyancing department and has helped many Companies and individuals.
Aman qualified as a solicitor in 2005. She became a Director in 2012.
Aman has also completed several professional development courses in Conveyancing.
Zakir Hussain – Director & Solicitor
Zakir Hussain qualified as a Solicitor in 2015 and previously worked at Moseley Chapman & Skemp Solicitors, returning back in 2012. He has over 15 years Conveyancing experience having previously worked in Conveyancing for various other companies. He became a Director in 2015.
Sukhbinder Sandhu – Consultant Solicitor
Sukhbinder Sandhu is a Consultant Solicitor who has in excess of 25 years post qualification experience in both residential and commercial Conveyancing. He qualified in 1995 and was previously a Director at Moseley Chapman & Skemp. He has also worked at different law firms and rejoined Moseley Chapman & Skemp as a Consultant in 2017.

Conveyancing Time Scales
Once you have agreed to purchase our services, we would aim to complete your transaction as soon as is possible. A standard Conveyance takes from 6 – 8 weeks depending on the chain, complexity of the matter and the means of finance. We will update you during the transaction with timescales.
Some of the key stages in a Conveyance include:
- Initial Instructions from you
- Verifying identity
- Dealing with Contract packs
- Dealing with enquiries
- Reporting on contract documentation
- Obtaining signatures to contract documents
- Liaising and organizing suitable dates for completion
- Requesting funds
- Completing transactions
- Dealing with post completion works
As mentioned above, the work is carried out by our Solicitors with assistance from the support staff who all have in excess of 10 years post qualification experience.
Conveyancing Costs
Property transactions are different as there are many factors that can affect a transaction and impact how we are to deal with the same. Because every residential conveyancing transaction is different additional fees may be applied in some cases.
Our fees will reflect the particular requirements of your transaction. We would require you to call us so that we can take further information about your transaction and provide you with a full estimate of our legal fees.
In general, once we have obtained information from you, the fees for our conveyancing services, are fixed. We will add VAT to these fees, currently at 20%. There may be the odd occasion where we cannot provide you with a fixed fee. Please note, our current hourly rate for Solicitors and/or Consultants is £195.00 plus VAT.
